Welcome

Dentist Upper Marlboro, MD - David W Stover D.D.S.

Welcome to David W Stover D.D.S.

Welcome! Since 1981, Dr. David Stover has been working with patients to provide high quality dental care for patients in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington Metropolitan areas. Dr. Stover and staff have over one hundred years of dental experience in providing the highest quality of personal and professional dental care. Our goal is to provide each and every patient with knowledge, new technology, and the same standard of care that we would provide our families.

In 2007 and 2011 our staff was recognized as one of the top dental offices in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia Areas. A three year survey was conducted by Consumer Reports and published in the Washington Consumer Checklist Magazine. We are very proud of this distinction and strive to continue to provide the excellent care and service for which we have been recognized.

Dr. Stover and staff have over 8 years experience in geriatric oral medicine.  Presently he, Kelly and Lexi  treat patients in a dental facility located in the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home in Southern Maryland.  Dr. Stover has recently joined the Deans Faculty as a clinical instructor in the Advanced General Dentistry program at  the University of Maryland school of Dentistry in Baltimore, Maryland.

We beleive in dental intrgrative medicine.  The mouth reflects a persons overall health.  Many diseases can be seen in the mouth before they become evident elsewhere in the body.  For these reasons we screen all patients for head and neck cancer, sleep disorders, acid reflux, sinusitis, diabetes, thyroid disease and heart disease.

We would appreciate the opportunity to help you improve and maintain your overall dental and systemic health.  Please call our office to find out more about a prescription mouthwash that may provide resistance to airborne pathogens including virus and bacteria.  This may provide patients with decreased incidence of flu and sinus conditions.  We have had very good success with this product reducing the incidence of the flu virus in our geriatric practices.
